ESN Norway was well represented at Annual General Meeting in Maribor in Slovenia 11th to 14th of April. The entire National Board was present, and our former National Representative Paulien was one of the meeting chairs. All sections but HiOA and Molde were present. We are very happy that our buddy country President Jonathan Jelves and National Representative Stefan Jahnke from ESN Sweden were elected Treasurer and President, respectively, of ESN AISBL. Dominique Montagnese, NR of ESN France, was elected Vice-President, and Robert Klimacki of ESN Poland was elected Communications Manager. Salih Odabasi, NR of ESN Turkey, will be the next Web Project Administrator.

AGM 2014 will take place in Milan, Italy, and CND in wintertime will be in Lodz, Poland. Numerous Standing Order changes were approved, and some updates to the graphic manual were accepted by the AGM. Due to the fact that these were quite detailed, if you have any questions about them, please contact Jay at [email protected] We used most of the time during our National Platform to discuss AGM issues, and spent a few minutes talking about the situation at HiOA, with the hope that our section at University of Oslo can find a way to improve the situation and make a proposal at National Platform in September.

Date: Thu, 11/04/2013 to Mon, 15/04/2013

The National Platform took place in Kristiansand between the 16th and the 19th of January and was organized by ESN Agder. Many points were discussed, with our 30 delegates (two national guests and two international guests), and 6 out of 8 sections were represented, from Thursday afternoon until Sunday. Numerous changes were made to the statutes, and in addition coordinators for SocialErasmus and Sea Battle were elected. Congratulation to Marianne and Jørgen from ESN Trondheim respectively.

Social program
On Thursday the participants went on a ferry trip to Hirtshals Denmark. We suspect only a very few NPs have a social programme spanning multiple countries! Friday there was a taco dinner, some socializing and then a night out in Kristiansand. Saturday the NP had arranged a visit to a pizza place for dinner and the night was spent at an after ski themed party with the international students and buddies. This event followed the responsible party guidelines of ESN. Water and cool gadgets were handed out. A full report from the NP will come soon.

Date: Thu, 16/01/2014 to Sun, 19/01/2014

The NP was organized by ESN Trondheim in February 2010.

During the NP 5 of 7 sections were represented, and it was the first time this many sections were gathered for a long time. We had a national guest, NR of Finland. During the NP we got to learn more about the network and the different sections in Norway. For almost all participants this was the first NP they attended, so the motivation was high. We spent the whole weekend in a typical Norwegian cabin, with plenty of team building and survival activities (like try to make an open fire with wet wood and minus degrees in order to feed the group)

During the NP we also created a National Mailing List consisting of representatives from each section (Section Representatives). We also changed the statutes and had different workshops.

Date: Fri, 05/02/2010 to Sun, 07/02/2010

The Norwegian National Platform took place in Kristiansand 4-6th of February 2011.

During the NP we changed the statutes, discussed a possible National Partner, a National Event and we created a National Board! The National Board consists of three members; President/NR, Vice-President/Vice-NR and Partner/Sponsor responsible.

Also we had alot of workshops, among others about how to recruit new members, how to make an successful event, The Social Erasmus project and motivation.

We also had some successful team building games, meet your colleagues lunch and all in all we made alot of new friends and had alot of fun!!

The National Platform of fall 2013 was held in Trondheim.

From the 7th to the 10th of November 18 Norwegian delegates gathered at the Northern European Platform in Tampere, Finland together with representatives from Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. This year’s NEP was organized by ESN INTO and all plenaries were held in Tampere University of Technology. Throughout three packed days with presentations and workshops the participants gained new knowledge about ESN and shared best practices from their sections. In the evenings they could enjoy the Teekkarisauna, try out others country’s specialties at the famous Eurodinner and sing-a-long at a typical Finnish Sitsit.
